This year, I have decided to celebrate my 47th birthday at the DuPage Habitat for Humanity's Women Build.

The goal of Habitat's Women Build is to empower women to help families build strength, stability and independence.

My team will be working in Hanover Park on Wednesday, May 8th - 7:30am-2:00pm helping to build a home. Alongside of us, we will have other teams, actual people that have been selected to live in these homes when they are ready, and skilled builders who will make sure that amateurs like me learn what needs to be done. I am not sure what my exact role will be, but I am excited to be involved with this amazing organization.

As part of joining this team, I committed to fundraising $250 toward the purchase of building materials. Any amount you choose to donate would be appreciated. Thank you!
