Hi everyone! Thanks for taking the time to check out my donate page. After embarking on bettering my health in 2017, I have lost over 130lbs, run 2 half marathons (including a Disney race challenge with a 10k on day 1 and a half on day 2), and will be training to run my first full marathon at the Chicago Marathon on Oct. 13th. Things in motion stay in motion!
The exciting part of bettering my health has been the abundance of active opportunities that have opened up for me, and High Ropes for Habitat is one of those things. Not only will I get to do an activity I NEVER thought I would physically be capable of doing, but I can raise funds for an amazing charity at the same time.
If there are any chores you need help with, please let me know! I'll provide the labor, you 'pay' me for my labor through a donation on this page. Everyone wins!

We're almost to $2,500 raised!
Everyone has been soo giving to this fundraiser - so much so that we are only $90 shy of raising $2,500! We are soo close to that big goal, so help me finish strong and reach it!
As a reminder, myself and another SOA colleague will be rappelling side by side on Saturday, June 22nd at 11:50am at 425 N Martingale Rd. There will be a DJ and food on the top of the parking garage for the viewing party, so please come out to cheer us on and enjoy a fun afternoon!

WE'VE RAISED OVER $2,000!
THANK YOU to everyone for their support and generosity for this fundraiser! As of the time of this update, we have raised $2,085 for Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley! We've raised the second highest amount for this charity event so far, and I think you should all feel very proud of that :)
I am still waiting for my rappel time slot, but will share with everyone as soon as I have that. I would love for you all to join me on Sept. 29th to see me Spiderman my way down the side of the 425 building! There will be food and a DJ on the top of the 425 parking garage as part of the event.

Sooo close to $2,000 raised!
Folks we are getting SUPER CLOSE to having raised $2,000 for this charity! I'm so stoked and grateful!
Did you know that funds that are generated on behalf of this year's High Ropes for Habitat event will go towards the Fox Valley Farms Subdivision in Crystal Lake? Did you know that 90 cents of every dollar goes to work immediately within the Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley community?
There's no better time than now to get in a tax-deductible donation to help those in our community that are in need. Any and all donations, no matter how large or small, are greatly appreciated.

We've raised over $1500!!!
THANK YOU and CONGRATS to everyone who has donated to this fundraiser! We've crossed the threshold and made the goal so I can get a GoPro helmet and video my exciting/terrifying descent down the building! The next fundraising incentive level is at $2,000. Not sure we'll hit that, but any additional donations are still more than welcome for this great charity.

Fundraising Goal increased to $1500!
Thanks to all of your amazing donations thus far, I have bumped my fundraising goal from $1,000 to $1,500! If we hit this goal, not only will we have raised an additional $500 for Habitat for Humanity, but I'll also be rewarded with a GoPro camera on my helmet for my rappel - how cool would that video be!
After the donation still to be made by the SOA, we're only $120 away from that new goal - incredible! There's still lots of time to donate, and I believe we should have no trouble hitting this new goal :)

Woo hoo, halfway to $1k raised!
THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to my fundraiser to help this great charity! We are over halfway to my minimum $1,000 fundraising goal - and that's not including the large donation still to come from my employer, the Society of Actuaries!
Let's keep pushing with this awesome momentum! My next goal would be to hit the fundraising amount needed (I think around $1,200) in order for me to rappel with a GoPro camera on my helmet. What an awesome memento that would be!
As I've mentioned before, feel free to ask me to help with any random tasks that you need a hand with. Then 'pay' for my labor through a donation to this fundraiser. I'm more than happy to put in some manual labor for this great cause :D
